• Buy real food, not highly-processed. You get more nutritional value for your dollar when you buy whole foods and aren't paying for manufacturing processes.
• Buy in bulk. Avoid paying for excess packaging.
• Buy locally and in season. Purchase seasonal foods from local growers through the Farmers Market or a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) program.
• Preserve food. Learn how to freeze, can, or store produce so you can enjoy local, organic foods year-round.
